The ControlTier server hosts a file share that supports the storage and distribution of files and packaged artifacts. The files may be the product of an internally developed software or orignate from a 3rd-party. The Graphical resource editor provides a graphical interface to browsing Packages stored in the file share.

The file share repository is based on Apache Jackrabbit an implementation of standard web technology, called WebDAV. All artifacts are accessible via HTTP and all storage operations can be done via a WebDAV client (eg, GET, PUT, DELETE, MKCOL).

Because the URL to the file share can be long and server specific, an abreviation can be used. See Dav:// prefix for examples.
